Description :

ARC-80 is a specially developed for Surface Roughening of Sugar mill rolls. It is a high recovery electrode and gives eutectic of austenite and carbide weld deposits which can withstand abrasive conditions. Good corrosion resistance under wet condition. Achieved hardness approx. 550 BHN and retains upto 400C. Weld droplets provides excellent gripping property. Increases Roller Life & crushing efficiency.

Application :

It is best for surface roughening of cast iron rolls in Sugar Industries. Gets Good Arcing in dry and wet conditions, helps in increasing the Productivity.

Procedure :

Before welding remove oil and grease. Clean weld. Use electrode on AC/DC+ at the lowest amps. Hold the electrode according to Roller speed to achieve the desired weld droplets.
